Welcome Reception

The welcome reception is held in the City Hall on Sunday afternoon from 18- 21 hrs. The City Hall, also known as "Rotes Rathaus" due to the red colour of its brick facade, is located at Rathausstrasse 15, 600 m from the conference venue at bcc. You can easily spot the "Rotes Rathaus" by its clock tower built form red brick. The entrance is on the northern side.

Conference Excursion

The conference excursion on Wednesday is held as a boat trip on the river Spree and provides impressive views of Berlin. The location for embarkment is a 20 min. walkway (1000 m) from the conference venue, at Jannowitzbrücke/Märkisches Ufer (see map).

The trip starts at 16.30 h and its duration is about 3 hours. Cake and one beverage are offered by the conference. Further refreshments and light food are available on board at your own expense.

Conference Banquet

We will hold the conference banquet on Thursday evening, starting at 19.00 h at the event location "Wasserwerk", Hohenzollerndamm 208a. The building is a historical industrial monument for drinking water purification and is partially set up with historical equipment.

Reaching the "Wasserwerk" by public transportation is easy and convenient and takes about 25 min: Take the subway U2 from Alexanderplatz towards Ruhleben (or Theodor-Heuss-Platz) and change trains at Wittenbergplatz. There you take the U3 towards Krumme Lanke which leaves from the same platform. Get off at station Spichernstrasse and follow our signs.

("Wasserwerk" is about 200 m from the station Spichernstrasse. Walk south, i.e. in the direction of your train and take the next right into Hohenzollerndamm. The "Wasserwerk" is a brick building on the southern side of the boulevard)

Accompanying Persons Program

The organisational staff at the conference registration desk is happy to assist with the booking of guided tours or with the coordination of group visits of museums etc.  Suggestions for a number of cultural and sightseeing tours are on display.
